More Like Going From a Couple Votes Shy to FOUR Votes Shy

I've looked at some Tech claimed insiders on Twitter or X & ACC insiders on YouTube to form that opinion. It is FSU, Clemson, UNC, NC State, UVA and Virginia Tech against the other eight with Notre Dame making nine. Adding Stanford & Cal would just make those Six against 11. Those Six were NEVER going to get the votes necessary to dissolve the ACC come hell or high water. Not EVER. So ACC additions matter very little in that regard. The reason those Six are and will stay opposed to the rest of the ACC is simple. Those Six all have a future of realistically joining a P2. The others do not. I might could see UNC strong arming the B1G into taking Duke. That strong arming would not work on the SEC. Oklahoma has done tried doing that with Oklahoma State on the SEC. The B1G taking UNC & Duke and halting expansion at 20 could be bad deal of the cards for Virginia Tech. Because that would then put the SEC likely just taking Four ACC schools to reach 20. Those first three would be FSU, Clemson & NC State. The 4th spot would be between UVA & Virginia Tech. I think Tech does need yo get better in football to have a leg up in that possible scenario. It could turn out to be UVA or Virginia Tech with other scenarios as well. I think the P2 is just taking Six ACC schools. I think you can tell that the way the PAC dissolved to see that. Miami, Louisville, Georgia Tech & Pitt are probably Big 12 bound. Wake, Duke, BC & Syracuse are going G5.

Why would UNC "strong arm" any P2 conference to take Dook?
EDGEMAN 08/18/23 05:01 AM ET
I personally don’t see how Stanford doesn’t wind up in the B1G.
hokieZ71 08/17/23 04:57 PM ET
All 8 would have to be sure that they all had P2 homes to dissolve…
BROman Hokie 08/17/23 04:18 PM ET
I don't think there are 8 teams that P2 would want, even 4 teams is iffy.**
