and was foolishly making that bet when Virginia Tech could have easily grabbed Missouri's SEC spot. That was why I was so adamant on getting the hell out of the ACC. Internal dynamics of the SEC where one school could block in-state entrants was our ticket and we squandered it. Now we are in line behind all those teams, when in 2011 we weren't. The ACC might..... might have stayed a decent conference if it kept its arrangement with Notre Dame and had added Texas but that was the other stupid bet that was made. The two very stupid conjectures that were made, 1) that we wouldn't fall in the SEC's expansion candidate hierarchy and 2) that the ACC with it's very flawed regional composition and portfolio skewed with economically unattractive small private schools could significantly improve its school composition.
