Nebraska actually did get booted out. They are the only school ever to

actually put it to a formal vote. All the other schools have left voluntarily when it was obvious they would not survive a formal expulsion vote. Nebraska actually only lost the vote by a few votes. The other Big 12 schools that were in the AAU at the time were basically the deciding votes that kicked Nebraska out.
