The comments I just read on this now small thread make me even less likely to think ESPN will ever do that. I remember reading several years ago that ESPN was losing money with the SECN being their only real salvation as a cash cow. Are schools now within the Big 12 going to withdraw from the Big 12 which may soon being getting Pac schools that could provide substantial raises in soon to be negotiated Big 12 TV contracts to enter the ACC that binds them to a GOR wrapped around a bad TV contract until 2036? Those are the realities that any Big 12 school would be knowledgeable on. That GOR contract protects the ACC but also prohibits getting other P5 schools not desiring becoming attached to that ACC GOR.
