ND doesn't want to be the big fish

I mentioned this before when another poster wondered why ND never tried to create its "own" conference. ND has never had the desire to be the leader of a conference. I don't know why ND just cannot renew the NBC deal in 2025 and forge ahead in football without such things as this idea?
