I’m glad to see that others are sharing a similar vision

As a reminder, before the playoffs started I floated this model that replaced the conference champ games with a play-in weekend of 12 games. It gives regular season more importance by determining the conf champs. It gives every conf a chance. It gives the P4+ND the chance to earn their way in with plenty of spots for the bubble teams. And it gives the top seeds a home game in round one of the playoffs. And Army v Navy still get a weekend to themselves. ** Edited by HokieAl at 12/29/2025, 9:28:14 AM

I think the whole season and offseason needs to shift. No spring football

Maybe so, but I doubt schools are willing to take on the liability issue

They can still do play-in games even if they don't junk the CCGs.
Maroon Baboon 12/29/25 09:34 AM ET
I would love to give conferences control and flexibility for championships
