Absolutely

They need a better schedule. Problem is they need the sec or b1g more than vice versa. And those conferences know it. ND thinks their relationship with the ACC isnt trustworthy , lol, wait until they get in bed with the sec. The reality is ND is just hoping to kick the can down the street as long as they can. Ultimately they will have to be part of the B1G or P2 and then are always just a couple of .500 seasons away from just being another brand. Anyone with half a brain in South Bend realizes that independence won't be sustainable in the long term. But they are going to scatch and claw as long as they can to resist. If that means throwing the acc under the bus and making it look like it happened the other way, so be it, if it buys a few more seasons

Very smart move by BYU IMO.

They just lost the USC series after 90 plus years. Keeping the USC game
jrc3rd 12/22/25 06:20 PM ET
Independence is many magnitudes more than the USC game
TerryD 12/23/25 12:38 PM ET
If its as you say, there are a lot of upset USC alumni. When I lived in LA,

IMHO ND wants out of the ACC *5 games and they will shift it to the SEC or
Stech 12/22/25 02:41 PM ET
Long on supposition, empty of facts
TerryD 12/22/25 04:52 PM ET
If ND is not planning an exit from the ACC, it would be negligent
Tailgate Guru 12/23/25 08:40 AM ET
Likely a contingency plan

ND is just blustering. They ain't gonna play a solid SoS,
saret 12/22/25 04:42 PM ET
ND is scheduling as tough a schedule as it can. BUT
RandomAsianGuy 12/22/25 06:25 PM ET
That is an incredibly weak schedule for an alleged playoff contender.
Gobbler Guru 12/23/25 12:51 PM ET
Agree with both sides' arguments. But, the crux of the argument

Through 2036 a TOTAL of 2 of those are after October 1st.
RTFC 12/23/25 12:33 AM ET
