Saban won't be making the call on any of this.

Look. I like Saban. And if I were to form my own commission on college football, I'd like to have him on it. But this committee is not going to make the call on all of this unilaterally. I also think DJT, as a sportsman, wants to genuinely address some of the current problems. But I don't see him as knowledgeable enough on the college game to understand what really needs to be done. I would advise him to add more minds to his committee. I respect him for giving it a go. It's long overdue to be honest. And while DJT strikes me as more of a big city, pro sports guy, I do think he probably would do better than your average legislator. However, in the end, fixing college football will require more than an executive order, which only lasts the length of the president's tenure in office. WRT to the 30-team comment specifically. No matter where the line is drawn (20, 30, 40...), there is gonna be hell to pay. And that is why I don't support a hard floor selected by arbitrary means. Either do relegation and promotion. Or set a standard, and allow any school that meets it to participate (stadium size, home attendance, academic standards, etc.).
