Many reports from yesterday including the WSJ are saying 9 Conf, 1 SEC B1G,

but it is contingent on the playoff rules, which the P2 control in 2026. They are going to load up the SOS over the overall record for rankings points so that they can do this and make more money in the regular season, and get as many P2 teams as possible in the playoff, to make more money, The P2 meetings start out like this, how can we make more money next year? Nothing about an equal playing field. Nothing about having broad representation across conferences. Just how do we change the rules so that we make more money next year? Once you accept this, it is easy to see where they are going next. ** Edited by Stech at 5/9/2025, 10:59:46 AM

Given the choice, of OOC games against ACC teams or playing BigXII teams,

FSU and Clemson are unlikely to happen. I think GT is still possible.

SEC and B1G are gonna want all the at-large bids (save Notre Dame).

especially if Bama or UGA have a "down" year as defined by their fans**

If that happens then the ACC and B12 are forced to collaborate

That would make sense, but all we hear about is the ACC Big East merger, I

The problem is the presidents. I think they will be a roadblock

I agree. I am just not sure they will be willing to give up their cake and

Too many uncertainties right now. Primarily with programs preening for a P2

Maybe that will happen as the B12 TV deal winds down and...
