I get that all the reports are saying 9 conference games because that is

the next logical progression. At some point, it will eventually become a question of do they remain at 9 conference games or increase to 10 conference games. If they do ever increase to 10 conference games, then it may make it easier for them to agree to only playing 6 home games some years because the extra conference game offsets the loss of that 7th home game. Plus, it would allow the teams to get through the conference schedule cycle quicker even if the conference schedule format includes protected annual conference games.

More Big 12 games are a possibility. I also think more ACC games are likely
