The difference, at least for now, is the B12 doesn't have any

schools actively trying to leave the conference. Honestly, I would be just fine without a GOR in the B12. A penalty, yes, but the GOR should only apply if they are part of the conference. If any school wants to leave like Utah, let them go. If they had an invite to the Big 10, they wouldn't be in the conference to begin with. The only reason that any schools from the ACC or B12 would switch conferences comes down to money. last I checked, no one is going to pay and exit fee to go to the B12, or the ACC. I will state again, the ACC's problem is not the GOR, it is the contract extension, and the amount that extension pays. DOES VT HAVE A CONTRACT UNTIL 2036 OR NOT? It's the only question that matters. I don't care if Utah and others leave the B12. I'm glad we no longer have Texas. Revenue sharing from the P2 to the rest of FBS is not going to happen, and the rich got richer. Do I think KU or K-State will EVER have the money that Texas has? They didn't in the past, and they won't in the future. It's time to move on from FSU.

ACC copied the B12 GOR, if the ACC GOR falls, look out Big 12. CBS 🔗 2023

Kind of a moot point since no one in the B12 has a place to go.

Kansas, Arizona, Utah and even WVU might leave for the ACC. Presidents love
Stech 08/07/24 03:17 PM ET
Utah & AZ maybe. KU & WVU much less likely.**
marcbvtgm 08/07/24 06:55 PM ET
The ACC passed on WVU and Kansas. Arizona had the chance to go to the ACC,
Maroon Baboon 08/07/24 03:39 PM ET
I believe Utah is angling for a Big10 invite
dayooper 08/07/24 06:00 PM ET
Same could be said for Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas, etc.
Maroon Baboon 08/07/24 06:08 PM ET
AAU is meaningless. They'll take who will increase per school revenue.**
marcbvtgm 08/07/24 06:57 PM ET
Do u have evidence that is the way it went down? I remember our Comish
Stech 08/07/24 05:18 PM ET
It's all speculative, but I did read a story about how the ACC reached out
Maroon Baboon 08/07/24 05:25 PM ET
Arizona, Arizona State, & Oregon State are

We never got the call. The B12 You Tubers were very active saying we would.**

Did Utah ever sign the B12 GOR? IIRC, they were the last one that didn't.
Truthahn 08/07/24 03:47 PM ET
They will wait until the contract is revealed. **
Big12 guy 08/07/24 03:56 PM ET
Reality is that B12 has less desirable teams than the ACC**
winston-hoo 08/07/24 02:26 PM ET
For the most part, I agree, but Kansas & Arizona in bball, & Utah & WVU in
Stech 08/07/24 03:06 PM ET
Does KU bring more $$ to ACC members? Not likely. WVU? Not likely.**
marcbvtgm 08/07/24 06:58 PM ET
KU if they expand the 🏀 tournament & pay the Sweet 16 like 🏈 playoff that
Stech 08/07/24 08:03 PM ET
They would go if you guys had a contract paying $10 - $15M or so more
Big12 guy 08/07/24 03:12 PM ET
Ya, the creme of those two should sign a post-2036 GOR together.
Truthahn 08/07/24 03:56 PM ET
So you are saying there is a chance! :-)**
Stech 08/07/24 03:27 PM ET
Haha, I've been in those shoes. Yes, this will work out fine. **

Big12 guy 08/07/24 03:02 PM ET
Very few are going to play their cards about leaving until they can.
Stech 08/07/24 03:10 PM ET
Whichever conference has the better media deal moving forward, will

That's probably true, but if it is close, University Presidents like

That’s our comish IMHO trying not to be a Conf Invader, he only went after
Stech 08/07/24 05:12 PM ET
Ummm, i was talking about b12 schools being invited to another
Big12 guy 08/07/24 05:53 PM ET
I kind of think the B12 would be ok with that
HokieAl 08/07/24 02:02 PM ET
I’m not sure FSU and Clemson are trying to break the GoR
dayooper 08/07/24 02:00 PM ET
I wouldn't be surprised if FSU wins that argument.
El Paso Hokie 08/07/24 11:25 PM ET
They are making lots of arguments, hoping at least one sticks.
wwhokie1 08/07/24 02:51 PM ET
I find this argument to be the much weaker of the two
