Everything you just said about UVA is multiplied times 5 or more with Duke.

Duke is one of about 7 actual blue blood hoops schools. Honestly, UNC, Duke, Kansas and Kentucky are probably Top 4 and Michigan State, UConn and UCLA aren’t even on their level. If UVA is a fit for the SEC based on everything you just said, Duke is a far better option. Heck, Duke has more fans that would tune in to watch a football game than UVA. Duke actually has a national fanbase. If Basketball is a major factor, there is no contest. The gulf between Duke and UVa in hoops is far larger than that which separates UVA and VT. And any revenue advantage UVA has on VT in Olympic sports funding is dwarfed by Duke. Yet, there has been hardly any mention of Duke in any of this realignment talk.

I think both SEC and B10 want UNC bad - they are the key for realighnment

I don't think golf advertising and football advertising compare, no matter

With your fanbase, the SEC is a no brainer. **

I think we focus too much on the number of “fans” each school has.

Audience demographics is absolutely a factor

Valid thoughts

SEC didn’t need to get better at football then added Texas and OU

Because Duke is private.

I put UConn in the 7.
hokieZ71 07/16/24 11:12 AM ET
And Dook wouldn't put much additional money into the football program...

Bet that dynamic changes in this environment. **

Doubtful.**

Even UConn is investing in their football program. Duke has
