ACC has the much better brands.

In fact, they have brands while the the Big 12 does not currently and has to build them up like VT did with Beamer and Vick. The ACC bottom half is really bad however. But that ironically helps the conference reputation with a top dog or dogs, like the Big 10. Clemson dominated a weak ACC for years when Miami and FSU were down. But there was little grief from the media and fans when the "National Champions from the ACC" was thrown around.
