I don't think the big wants or needs Pitt at all.

The already have Penn State as the flagship of Pennsylvania. The last need is a school from Virginia and one from NC. With that the Big will truly become a national conference except for flyover country which they are fine with the B12 having. but, when the big goes into the southeast, the battle will be on with the SEC. And who knows where that would end?
