No way 7 ACC schools plus FSU find a P-2 landing spot on June 30, 2024. IMHO, I think the Big 10 isn't ready to go to 20. Adding Oregon and Washington came earlier than they wanted. Once the Pac-12 couldn't get a good TV deal, that's when that conference started to implode. The Big 12 took 4 Pac 12 schools followed by Oregon and Washington to the B1G. Then the ACC got Cal and Stanford for a discount. I still think the B1G has interest in UNC and UVA but they can wait for 7 or more years. As for the SEC, Sankey says that the SEC schools are happy at 16. I also think the SEC schools don't want to add any school that decreases their annual TV payouts from ESPN/SECN. Like the B1G, the SEC will likely want to add new states to get as much as they can from the SECN cable fees. Clemson and FSU will not increase them but UNC, NC State, UVA and/or Virginia Tech will. I think the ACC as it stands today will remain intact for at least 6-7 years, maybe longer.
