Think of it as.........

paying for a P5 addition, whatever the period. SMU has been shut out since the old SWC folded and this is their chance to maybe come all the way back from the death penalty. SMU deserved punishment for its past deeds but, the debate is still ongoing about the use of the death penalty. There is also still the undercurrent that the actual penalty they received was so severe because the sacred cows doing exactly the same thing were getting beat by an upstart at their own game and that was just not acceptable.
