Maybe the recent Commonwealth move to tie UVa and VT together, saying that

one school can't make a move that hurts the other is a good move at least in the short term. I think both schools would add value to either P2 conference. OTOH, could you imagine if VT had a B1G invite, and UVa didn't have an invite from either, and we were both forced to go to the Big XII? Turrible. I'm sure UVa would feel the same way if the tables were reversed.
