regarding going beyond a P2 both sooner or later. Didn't say "no" but didn't say there is anything on the immediate horizon. He also pointed at the need for congressional involvement in getting past "talent acquisition fees" (I thought that was an excellent descriptor). I will point out that there will be congressional interest in both of those future scenarios and 32, 40, and maybe even 48 schools at the top may not be enough to get the legislative support they need. I also thought it was interesting that he didn't see a complete breakaway; so the Trans Comm work may actually be meaningful. And in his sequence, CFP would follow. If the top end football group stays in the NCAA, look for conferences to double down on securing access to the playoff...and a 16 team playoff takes no more weekends to play than the 12 he prefers.
