They're different models, so I assume they'd stay active separately

Hokie Way is a 501(c)(3) raising true (tax deductible) donations that can then be aggregated and offered to athletes to earn by supporting other charities with PR/marketing type stuff (that's free to the "other" charity). CNIL is selling subscriptions and merch and turning that into business opportunities for athletes. No charity involved.
