socialize. To many fans, that's better than watching the game. I always walk the campus either before or after the game. To be honest, I look more forward to that than the game. I'm more interested in seeing all the construction on the north end of campus and upper quad. IMHO, I think most alumni love their school more than its sports teams. The sporting events are there to draw them in. As for fans who didn't attend the school, they probably care much more about the sports teams.
