I can't even hate them for it. BTW, all states give tax breaks to all kinds of businesses and individuals (some quite rich) for all kinds of reasons. Also, state tax policy isn't the same across the nation and gives incentive to free agents to choose destinations based on tax code. Two that stick out were LeBron to South Beach and Bryce Harper to Pennsylvania from their previous locales. And here is the thing about athletes paying taxes. The FIT rate will be quite high in the athlete's condensed earning years. So if a state wants to give athletes a break to keep something like football competitive nationally, then so be it. It's the least of things on my list to get offended about.
