Sure, the conference Jim Williams proposed in the article is truly horrible. But he's looking at this from his USF/AAC angle. I doubt any ACC president is envisioning such a horrendous league. For what it's worth, Jim Williams was pushing hard on X that Stanford and Cal should join the AAC (not the ACC). But I'm more curious about the VC angle. Not many people have linked venture capital and the ACC. He didn’t have to bring up VC for a fantasy league scenario, but he did. So I'm wondering if this VC idea is something he heard from an ACC insider because VC sounds more plausible, although I doubt many ACC schools would want to sign up for a GoR extension.
