He has unbelievable relationships with recruits, players and coaches in the Mid-Atlantic area (see flips from Oklahoma, Wisconsin, several from Penn State and almost Michigan the last day, that could change). Franklin also said that we had by far the best plan of any school he talked to and he talked to a lot of them since he was free to do that without a job. WADR I don't think Virginia Tech got lucky, in fact it was the biggest job market for P4's HC's in probably history. In other words more competition than ever. I think our school especially the committee was ready and he chose the best one period, Franklin's words, not mine. If you are referring to the Michigan job, what a mess that the next coach is going to walk into.
