The B10 doesn’t want UVa as much in my opinion.
UVa is a great academic institution, but that’s not enough. The Big Ten passed over Stanford, which is arguably the best academic FBS school.
The Big Ten is already in the DC area with the addition of UMCP. UVa is not that attractive an option for the B10 (VT is even less so).
The best thing going for UVa is that they are the ideal tag-along school to UNC. Many people don’t realize it, but that’s probably the biggest advantage UVa has over VT.

@HOO86 I always thought UVA if they left would go to the Big 10.
