It's not even spin anymore. It's preemptive justification

The decision has already been made to include a certain number of teams from SEC and BIG. Now they are just front running it and setting the stage so that there is resigned acceptance by the time it happens. And part of this is probably in response to the FSU debacle last year. They don't want to have to change their story at the last minute when they leave out a 2 loss PAC, ACC, B12 team.
