With NIL, walkons are just another way to stack talent

And to get around scholarship limits while they try to find and develop some diamonds in the rough. He obviously knows this. Comes across to me like a tantrum from an old school coach who doesn’t like all the changes happening in his sport. He should go enjoy his salary and his offsite meetings at the Ritz and just coach. Plenty of other college sports have roster limits but also have stricter scholarship limits. So football will be just fine. Either adjust to the new rules or fade away Dabo. ** Edited by HokieAl at 5/15/2024, 9:59:38 AM

Limit rosters to somewhere between 70 and 80. And, just a pet peeve of mine
Maroon Baboon 05/15/24 11:41 AM ET
I have seen this proposed. It seems workable with the new transfer rules.

Exactly. It won't hurt anyone to reduce rosters.**

Yes. A walk on occasionally earns a scholarship. But that's normally
wwhokie1 05/15/24 12:08 PM ET
Yep. I'm not sure how many walk-ons are truly walk-ons these days

I think it is personal for him, since he was a walk on, sorry I am with him
Stech 05/15/24 10:36 AM ET
True it had a good history. But it’s no longer needed
HokieAl 05/15/24 11:09 AM ET

They are looking for a way to control NIL and the transfer portal. **
Big12 guy 05/15/24 11:46 AM ET
Yeah, if they can't manage it with 85-100 man rosters, they need to find
