Honest question. Do you think FSU pissed off the ACC really hurt them...

We know the relationship is not good. FSU disparaged their own conference publicly in VERY POOR taste. When you have the Selection Committee spokesperson from NCSU abandon them, you have to wonder if that gave them a window to extend the middle finger in the most painful way to FSU.
