I just listened to 'Choosin' Texas' for the first time...
...and I don't get all the fuss. It's a pleasant little country tune...but I'm seeing lots of hype...calling it an "instant country classic." I don't get that at all. Is that a statement on the current state of country music? The fans here will havta tell me. Ella is always good to look at...but I'm not overwhelmed by anything I've heard her sing.

I’m digging her songs. I’m a 90s rock guy and grew up on alternative
Music. Love some good rap from back in the day. But never was into country. More recently I’ve found myself leaning toward country music. Maybe it’s just that everyone is different. I can’t stand bands like Rush or Aerosmith or Pink Floyd. I don’t like a lot of music produced nowadays either. Many people say the same thing you said about T Swift…and for the most part I would too. But o will admit there are some of her songs I really like. Many probably said the same about Shania Twain back in the day. I thought her songs were catchy but was not impressed. I like Langley voice and delivery. It’s not the most beautiful voice but there’s something smooth and sultry about it. Her songs are catchy and easily sing-a-longable. I originally thought You Look Like You Love Me would be a one hit wonder but she continues to crank out some fun catchy songs. Be Her is better than Choosing Texas in my opinion. But that’s music. We won’t all like the same thing.
