Sirstromming is the fish of choice in Scandinavia. You won't like it
It's fermented herring that can best be described as "smelling rotten" ..or it depends on the night you had a bad experience while in college. I will leave it at that.

Lutefisk more in Sweden and Denmark. Sirstromming more in Norway

Fresh is the keyword. In Scandinavia, they let it "rot" for 1 year
It's the most awful pungent thing known as food that I've ever tasted..

Going to Norway next year to find out. Alaska Salmon is better than
Scottish Salmon IMHO.

take a large group of us along on those trips so we can amplify your findings.
