Arnold Palmer was seven shots back after three rounds of the 1960 US Open. AP shot a 65 in the final round at Cherry Hills to finish two shots ahead of 20 year old amateur Jack Nicklaus, who shot a 71 on Sunday. Meanwhile, third round leader Mike Souchak shot a 75.
