This is as of last night from the Financial Times reporting. KC has a lot and a lot of hotel vacancies. There are predictably 17,000 Iranian match tix for sale but that means a bunch for other matches. In Canada with ban on reseller price hikes all matches are sold out. Supposedly speculators are taking a bath.

Over $200 for the cheapest ticket to see Cape Verde v Saudi Arabia in Houston is nuts. I wouldn't pay $200 a pop to see a VT home playoff game, much less two countries I care nothing about play a soccer match.

Our city is a host city and I had WC tickets on my radar for a long time. Then a few months ago when they went on sale they wanted you to pay a fee just for the opportunity to buy tickets, and it has gotten worse since. We said no thanks and haven't looked since. Now, if I hear a bunch of unsold seats are going dirt cheap, we might look again.

Most other countries have restrictions on reselling at this point.
The best example of this is how it was cheaper for people to fly to Europe and see a Taylor Swift concert than it was to get a ticket to see her in their hometown.
