Yesterday was so hot that a bridge in Chesapeake needed to be
cooled down. An accumulation of hot weather days caused expansion joints to close to the extent that the bridge draw could not operate correctly. This was an Intracoastal Waterway bridge in Great Bridge.
The fire department hosed the bridge for a while and the bridge reopened.

And yes, in that day there was no OBX. We just called it Nags Head haha.
