What a bummer to start Friday, found one or our chickens under the ramp....
To the coop dead with a broken neck. Poor thing, she was dusting and got too close to the ramp and hit it. She was 7 years old, cruddy way to go out.

The other 4 are 5 years old. They are now expensive pets. We will let them live out the remaining years in comfort

And us eventually moving when she graduates we don't want to start over again. As they passed we aren't going to replace them.

The gate open or the predator climbs the dog run and jumps in they are pretty safe. It was just a freak accident. Our biggest problem is hawks when we let them free range.
