Yeah, gave a textbook to a woman in school. She sold it.
So I hear ya. but I guess the woman thing is a little bit different challenge. It's funny though, the little things like that are the real life lessons like the line in the movie Breaking Away: "Everyone cheats, I just didn't know" or lending a jack to a uh, a guy I knew - a friend of a friend - and he returns it. Next time I used it the car rolls over it, thinking he effed it up on his Jeep and didn't tell me. Could have gotten me injured. You used to think some people were *******s for not lending you stuff or instantly becoming your friend, now you know. Never lend your tools to anyone.

My brother asked for help with his yard sale. When I went to help, half of
the stuff was my SH*@ he borrowed over the years. Including my softball glove, favorite shirt and text books.

Well, you gave it to him, so...
...he's free to sell it. But I know what you mean...sort of stinks that someone would sell a gift you gave them. They should take that to their grave...lol

There's some Heinlein quote about charity....
something like "If you're doing something out of the kindness of your heart, figure out why you really want to do it, if you still want to do it, go ahead"
