Did I ever tell you loosers about my tax situation from last year?
I think I did, but anyway...the short version is I use the box. The box made a mistake and disregarded my tax credit for a new efficient heat pump. They let me know last spring, and I back-burnered it until right before Christmas when I finally filed an amended return. Got my check yesterday. They (the IRS) paid me interest on TurboTax 's mistake and my laziness. Look like about 5% apr, which is probably more than I would have made in it...lol. I was not expecting that...

IRS paid me $21 in interest on payback for accountant’s mistake. Accountant
Charged me $100 on tax return for additional form to file for IRS interest on accountant’s mistake. Tax system is broken. Accountant tells me to review tax forms and sign that I agree. I can’t understand that $hit. Tax code should be simple enough for those paying to understand.

The part that makes it complicated is all the exemptions and loopholes.
If they reduced taxes BUT reduced all the loopholes, it would be a simple mathematical exercise.

I love the fair tax proposal where you just have a postcard.
How much did you make? OK, this is how much you owe.

I think his point was...
"How much did you make?" - Box A1 = $100 "Okay, send us Box A1..."
