Old pics of Temescal Canyon and Pacific Palisades-
View from hilltop about 1 mile? north of Sunset Blvd looking south. PP Village was at the bottom edge of that green. For reference, Santa Monica is the beach far to the south. Second pic looks SW over the western PP neighborhood. Much of the commercial area is gone I believe, and possibly a lot of those neighborhoods to the SW of this hilltop. One can see the dry brush mixed in with green. These pics were from one year with more rain I believe. We went hiking up to the hills maybe five years ago.

we hiked Skull Rock on the 29th. Amazing from the top and a flowing
waterfall on the way down. It's a true shame that it's all gone. Downtown PP all gone which is hard to fathom

Pics were taken basically around the word “Palisades” in that pic.
Vía Floresta is the northernmost street in those neighborhoods from the previous pic. Temescal Canyon runs from the beach north about 1.5 miles up to Sunset Blvd and that high school that burned down. Then the park is on the north side of Sunset Blvd from there. Everything is gone from that area (like someone said, just like Lahaina on Maui).
