The guy who achieves great position but then humbly returns to the plow when the job is finished. Agree with the other "great man" comments below. What a well-lived life.

is just stupid. What makes a great former president? Playing golf till you die? Wrestling cattle on the family ranch? Or helping build homes for the poor?

...submarines, he didn't have to go through him to get out of the submarine surface. I worked for one person who did have to visit him when he wanted to go aviation. He said every rumor you ever heard about Rickover was true...lol
