Adding in the “meat” of the pepper?
Also, once you remove the seeds and membranes, if you wash the meat in hot water, you can see the outer capsaicin oil washing away- you can still maintain the taste and smokiness from the pepper meat minus the seeds and capsaicin oil.

I remove the hab seeds, but leave a lot of jalapeño seeds.
