Lifetime

Slower, we are currently at 9 months after adopting older dogs for years

We have had gates up blocking off most of the house since we got Nova (who is a mix of black lab and pit bull). Someone has to watch her 95% of the time, or she will chew most anything or bug the heck out of our older (10 and 12) labs and start a ruckus. She wants to retrieve a ball all day long, and has to go out every hour or two to pee (she had a UTI, has been treated) or to make us think she has to pee when she really just wants out. She has chewed up 3 dog beds and now gets only a tattered blanket when she needs to go in her crate for 2-3 hours when we go somewhere (which is NOT often). I walk her at least once every day. We can't leave her outside because she eats mulch bark, dirt, worms, bugs and, sometimes, poop. We had NONE of this with our prior 5 adopted dogs, who were mostly 5+ though one was 1 yo and jumped the back fence for a bit until she figured out free food was better. SO yeah, time is crawling. Does this get better?

In that case you kind of lose track of time; therefore, I'll say 'faster'.**

Buy a 250 acre ranch and let 'em run free. That's what we've done. 😊 **

Life changes generally make time go slower and life consistentcy makes time

it is around 4 months and a border collie- maybe the worst one - or best
bigbadbird 05/16/23 04:18 PM ET
Border collies are full of energy, you need to spend a lot of time...

we have 3- and about 20 goats- they chase and run and run
bigbadbird 05/16/23 10:18 PM ET
Well then, maybe the dog in question will grow out of it, but...
