You absolutely have to have a passion to be a vet because it's brutal

My middle kid's GF (and probable future wife) is in vet school at Wisconsin. It's a top school and very hard for out-of-state students to get in. She graduated Summa cum Laude in Biology/Pre-vet and has been interning for years. This is all she's ever wanted to do. It's crazy expensive, there is very little scholarship money, and the hours are insane. She loves it, though, but will finish almost a quarter million $$$ in debt.
