A dude in my HS's father built engines for the one and only Dale Earnhardt.
He drove an illegal Chevelle with a giant blower sticking out of the hood & straight pipes. Had a series of gauges down the left/driver side column and you'd have to lean forward to breath if you sat in the backseat. That thing did an amazing job 0-120, doing brake stands, & getting my friend traffic tickets (one story was we're doing a brake stand at a stop light, it turns green so he let's it go while spinning the wheels & we skid our way to turn left, then still while spinning drift our way into a 7-11 parking lot on the right where there just happens to be a cop sitting there parked...oops...but he got out of the ticket by taking it to court and claimed the street was wet which made him slip in that big bad arse car.)
