Those beyond meat burgers can be pretty darn good. I hate that I'm saying

that. Occasionally the wife will bring a couple patties home and I'll do em on the cast iron skillet. Salt, pepper, let it sit 20 or so and then sear the heck out of them. They really do need to be seared, if not they just taste mushy and weird. They also make "sausages" that are not wonderful, in my opinion.
