Another example of a quick task taking far too long to complete

Decided to hop out to do a quick mow, so everything was going well until when I finished the front yard and as I was removing the clippings bag, I noticed a rear wheel was cracked almost all the way around the inner diameter of the wheel. Quick parts search for "Poulan" and 11" wheels revealed nothing on Amazon...only 8" wheels, so off to the online Poulan website. I did a parts search for my specific mower model found the wheels, but they were not available. I tried e-replacement parts and a similar online parts supplier to no avail. They didn't have them either. Back to Amazon for a universal 11" wheel... I only had the diameter and width of the wheel to search. I started looking at generic wheels and found a similar dimension Husqvarna wheel, but I thought I better compare it to the one from my mower. That Husqvarna wheel that came up had an embedded 40 tooth drive gear, but my wheel has more teeth. I cleaned the gear wheel and found a part number. I punched that into another Amazon search (along with Husqvarna) and it came up with a wheel...and the cog on this wheel had the same number of teeth. In the description, it said it was a replacement for the part number on my old one. Final confirmation! (The time I spent searching for a replacement wheel was probably twice as long as it took to mow my front yard.) I reinstalled the wheel to mow the backyard, and it snapped off as I set it down. My mowing is done for the day! Replacement wheels arrive Sunday.

Now see Edge, your wheel isn't supposed to do that

I’d do that and re-inforce with a good duct tape wrap.**
