our ottoman, running around on all sides. I'm like what you got there girl? So I lift the ottoman and scream F---! Snake! I drop the ottoman and fall over the arm of my sofa landing on my shoulder and head but my agility improved to my 30 year old self(I'm 64) and bounced and down the hallway. After a second I realize that it looked like a black snake. So if I see one in my back yard, I let it go, thinking nothing of it--but this is in my house! So I'm no Steve Irwin, so I'm in no way going to try and catch it--I'm going to chop it dang head off. So I go grab an axe in my garage and go back to the ottoman, flip it over and the snake is gone! Frantically I start moving all the furniture in the area looking for it. My dog has become disinterested it the chase as she now is chewing on one of her toys. Finally I see it, but it under this corner kitchen rack-- I start to move the rack so I can get behind it, but the rack is top heavy with my wives cook books. It almost falls over but I catch it in time only a few books fall but some blue speckle vase thing falls and breaks which I caught hell later from my wife. After about a minute the snake comes out of the corner moves under the kitchen table and I'm able give it a little whack. It was about 3 foot long, black with a white underbelly. Good thing my wife wasn't home when I found it. I'm sure if someone filmed this I could have been on America' funniest home videos. Now I need to know how this thing got into my house. Any one else ever have a snake in your house?
