Home despot's getting pretty efficient...
bought some heavy stuff for a couple projects, some wood posts and a digging rod. long story short had it scheduled for Saturday when I had nothing else - because they'll deliver it between 6am and 8pm: you know how that works - planned but got home around 8:30 this morning, thinking hey just reschedule it for today and ... it's here, one less thing to keep track of.
Love it, I think they're treating me like a site contractor and getting stuff to me now, thinking that market's pretty competitive.. $35 delivery is well worth it considering, wandering around the store, loading my car, unloading my car etc. Honestly, it seems their whole business model has changed, you're better off ordering the stuff through the website, picking it up outside or having it delivered then just going to the store and looking for it.

I've never had good luck with lumber deliveries from a "big box store".

Yeah, if you get lumber from big box, you've got to hand pick it! No doubt!**
