If one or both of those are going into the ground (with or without Sacrete)

you will want to buy a can of flex-seal or equivalent and coat the ends that will be in the ground. About 20 ish years ago the treated lumber industry was forced by frivolous lawsuits to change their formulation of chemicals for wood treatment. The old and effective CCA treatment was replaced with Copper Azole. The new formulations basically suck in ground contact mode. A fence I built 10 years ago with Copper Azole type treatment already has rotted posts.
