I'm a coach for my son's soccer team. Last offseason, and right now, we've also played futsal. Since futsal needs less players, we've had and have 2 teams. Myself and the other dad coaches try to split the 2 teams up as evenly as possible since we know they'll play one another during the 6 or 8 game seasons. Last year, our 2 teams played one another once in Nov/Dec and twice in Jan/Feb. Both games were very close and competitive - 1 or 2 goal difference. The split this season has the best goalie on Team A. Team B counters with the 2 best field players. After that, the rest is fairly even player to player, with the worst player (plays goalie for a half and field for a half) being on Team B. However, that worst player was sick last night and didn't play, so that's an advantage to B in not having to give that kid minutes. Last night was the first meeting for this futsal season. Team A (myself and another dad coaching this team) won by 11-0 How the hell did THAT happen?
