Bank drive thru driving question....

Listen, I know that I am the smartest and best driver out there and I'm always right.... So now that this has been established as fact, here's the scenario: Pulled up to the bank the other day and all 3 teller lanes had one car at them. So me, in my infinite wisdom, decided to stop a few car lengths back so that I could pick the line that opened up first. I know I know... Genius AND common sense. But as I'm waiting, two other jerk wads pull up and go around me and get in line in front of me. The good news is that the one that opened up first was the one they didn't pick. But I'm right, right? Like if I go into the bank or McDonald's, I don't walk up to stand behind one of the people waiting, you wait a few steps back and wait for the next available opening.
