They told me they hoped to decide that evening or the next day and that when they made their recommendation to HR then I'd hear from HR. I knew two of the people on the interview team (a coach I knew and their current PE teacher that used to be one of my teammates when she taught 3rd grade with me). I felt really good about the interview. My only worry is if there was someone with more experience that wanted the job (I'm moving from the general education classroom in elementary school and this was for PE in middle school). Well... The hiring and personnel report came out on Wednesday this week and showed the opening for that job, but not a hiring. That means it hasn't been filled at that point (I know there were some positions that were filled the day before that were in the report... So clearly it hadn't been decided and sent to the school board/central office for recommendation of employment). I assumed I didn't get it and I'm just waiting for the rejection letter in the mail... But it should have come well before now. Do I send a text to my friends that we're on the interview team to ask them what's up? Because that just seems awkward.
