It hit me a couple days ago....2 weeks ago, I started noticing cicada carcasses in the parking lot at the office. Last week, I noticed the distinctive noise of the brood at the office (sounds like a Prius backing up....no previous brood I recall ever sounding like this one). But early this week, it hit me that there was no noise at my house. I live about 20 miles directly from the office....so somewhere in between is the border of this cicada brood....kinda interesting it's so stark like that.
